For my research, I will be creating a podcast answering the question “ How Bram Stoker equips his characters in Dracula with the knowledge of psychology known during the victorian (19th) era and how that compares to the scientific psychology ofPresent day in the film adaptation xxxxxxxxx.” The podcast piece will include research on Victorian age science and how that differs to present day understandings. The three main pieces used will be Bram Stoker’s Dracula, “Exorcism, Possession, and the Dracula Cult: A Synopsis of Object-Relations Psychology’’ by Bulletin of the Menninger Clinic and the film adpation xxxxxxx. I will study how Stoker uses psychology and psychoanalysis in his book and how that affects their actions in the story to make wrong or illogical decisions. If what was known today, I argue that the actions and decisions of the story’s characters would be different. The Reinfeild syndrome will also be studied extensively because the idea comes straight from the book. A secondary source called Régis Olry & Duane E. Haines (2011) Renfield’s Syndrome will be the main source of information on Reinfild’s syndrome. Additionally, research on how to prepare and conduct a podcast to create a fluid and informative. From correct audio recording devices to cohesive explanations of terms and research.
